A Fisherman’s Tale
A Project In Collaboration with Seven Stories
In March 2021 we were commissioned from Seven Stories in Newcastle to create and animation and a story based of one of 6 story narrative ideas such as Overcoming the monster or Journey for example. We were given a month after pre planning our ideas to create an animation no longer than one minute. I remember when I was little and visiting Seven Stories was a magical place that really fulles creativity for young children through books and workshops.
This Is still currently a Work in Progress project so will keep this updated until I Finish the project. Unfortunately the project didnt end up going ahead which is a real shame. Nevertheless, it was a great experience for me to work with a client such as them.

The Narrative.
For this project I really wanted to push myself to try some new ways of working alongside working on my Pre-production skills so I can clearly and confidently get my narrative and pitches across to clients clearly. The story is based of the narrative style “Voyage and Return” where a wise sea captain and his crew embark on a journey. They are approached by a terrifying storm which send the captain overboard, only to find not everything is as it seems….. He’s been cursed and has been turned into a crab ! He now must help some friendly faces to reach his boat back home.
